What Systems Does Super Cruise™ US?
Super Cruise™ utilizes cameras, GPS data, sensors, and high-definition LiDAR map data to navigate on the road. The technology constantly collects real-time data to steer your GM vehicle and keep it in the lane. While Super Cruise™ allows for hands-free driving, it's important for drivers to stay alert while behind the wheel.

Activate Super Cruise™
Before you begin driving, ensure that the Forward Collision System is configured to ALERT AND BRAKE. If you have activated Teen Driver features, ensure they are turned off. Then, follow the steps below:
- Press the Adaptive Cruise Control button located on the steering wheel.
- Once the Super Cruise™ system recognizes that you are on suitable roads and all requirements are met, the Super Cruise™ symbol will illuminate in white.
- Press the Super Cruise™ button on the steering wheel. The symbol and the light bar on the steering wheel will glow green. You can safely take your hands off the steering wheel when both are green.
To deactivate Super Cruise™, press the Super Cruise™ button or lightly tap the brake pedal.
Which Vehicles Are Equipped With Super Cruise™?
GM introduced the Super Cruise™ technology in 2015 and began incorporating it into certain GMC vehicles in 2022. Now, Super Cruise™ is accessible in select Chevrolet vehicles, too. As of July 2024, over 15 GMC Chevrolet vehicles are equipped with Super Cruise™, and the number continues to grow. Some vehicles equipped with Super Cruise™ include but are not limited to:
